Test-drive experience (2022)

2022.01.26 08:30 Sassquatch0 Test-drive experience (2022)

I'm trying a Test drive unit, a TMOHS1 model. Searching brings up results from several years ago, with the Franklin units, so I'm hoping for updated information.
It's only testing at ~20Mbps downlink, and ~5Mbps uplink, with 100-150ms ping. My normal AT&T usually hits 30-60Mbps down, with ~20Mbps up, at 60ms ping. All tests were done outside, near the middle of town, where the Open Signal app shows all 3 carriers have cell towers nearby. Using Speed Test & Open Signal apps to test.
The Test-Drive gets the same results, regardless if my phone is connected to it over 2GHz or 5GHz wifi.
The signal seems fine otherwise, working inside my job site & home, just slower than expected.
Is this normal for a test unit, or is something in mine configured wrong? Aside from changing the login credentials, everything is stock settings.
I'm using a Motorola G Power (2020 edition) running Android 11. My phone's wifi is capable at least 250Mbps, as tested on my home wifi. (Don't have access to anything faster than that to test for more)
Any advice?

Biden warns Russia about Ukraine invasion, says US will resort to personal sanctions https://preview.redd.it/ahd0ky8op0e81.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=69c36e73ae5fc11e6650f57b19e5339e6c3d56c4
The United States president Joe Biden said that he will not accept Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and if it happens, he warned Russia of imposing personal sanctions.
The US leader on Tuesday said that he will consider sanctions against the Russian president Vladimir Putin if goes over Ukraine. This is after NATO allies already released a statement that they have prepared their forces to fight the Russian soldiers to stop their movement.
It is not like the Biden administration to openly threaten a country of imposing sanctions but the very rare sight came after several rounds of talks and meetings with the Russian officials and NATO allies where it was made clear that the Russian side was unwilling to compromise on taking their steps back from the Ukrainian border.

2022.01.26 08:30 sarra1833 May I please have some module aid?

  1. Do I just upload my lorebook to it?
  2. Or do I need to literally write an entire story and upload it?
  3. Do I need to do #1 or 2 for each new story I write if it's in the exact same world?
  4. How do I know how many # of steps it needs to train?
  5. I get 1050 steps this month. Does that mean 1050 words? Sentences of a certain size?
  6. What file extention do I save my module info with before I upload it to the "learn this shit, please" training area? Aka mymoduleingredients.____
Thanks so much 😊 please add more info if I've forgotten any vital things I should know but didn't know to even ask. Y'all are total blessings for the help you give to this dumb user.
I'm like too advanced for AiD but too user stupid for NovelAI. I'm like a 7 year old school kid suddenly in Oxford in super excelled quantum physics class and I can't even tie my shoelaces yet 🤣

2022.01.26 08:30 IanMooneee eCPPTv2 Exam Review

Hello eLearnSec fanbois. This post will summarise my experience with eLearnSecurity's eCPPT course and exam. I officially started training for eCPPTv2 at May 2021(at that time i had purchased the Premium Subscription on INE platform). The only certification related to cyber security prior to that was the eJPT which I acquired at March 2021. So before we start I should note that i had done plenty of TryHackMe rooms some HackTheBox retired boxes etc before even starting the eLearnSec journey. As you can imagine it took me some time to complete the course material and feel ready for the exam since just today i received the golden email that i passed. By October 2021 i had completed all the material but some other obligations (work related) made me wait till i find the right time to take the exam.
-- INE Labs & Course Material Review --
Overall everything tought in the labs and course can give you a high overview of an internal - infrastructure penetration test.Labs are pretty okay and some topics are pretty high level and require enough understanding and practice. I used obsidian.md for every lab and after each section i visited my notes again to refine them and make sure i was ready to move on to the next section of the course. I started with the Networking Section of the course and IMHO its the most important part of the course to train on. To be fair i faced some problems though with more than one lab and never managed to resolve them.To name a few ICMP redirect attack and Client-Side Exploitation labs never worked for me..So i had to read the solution make notes and just understand it without being able to exploit the lab myself. Moving on to the Web Application Penetration Testing section i had enough knowledge already from external resources (TryHackMe,HackTheBox) so i didn't waste enough time there.I just read all the slides(which go to a great depth btw especially in the SQLi part) and just did the labs. Now for the Privilege Escalation part i used TCM's courses and both the training provided by INE and took a huge amount of notes in order to feel ready. For the Buffer Overflow i used again TCM's youtube course and did all TryHackMe related boxes. To be fair i didn't study the Ruby and WiFi section's on the INE platform.
-- EXAM Review -- For the exam all i can say is it's all related to pivoting. It isn't about just finding an exploit and popping of a metasploit listener to get a shell. You have to really understand the Infrastructure you are given in order to be able to route your exploits in a proper way, otherwise the Exploits will never work. Furthermore you have to try different payloads and never ever think that "one solution can fit all problems". Now on to the reporting section of the exam which IMHO it's the most important and difficult one. I think that everyone that did the course and is sure about the topics tought can complete the practical part, BUT in order to PASS the exam your report must be really thorough. What i mean by that is that you must have really good notes on every pretty little finding you discover and be able to propose a proper solution. You can't just pass by documenting what exploit got you a shell. You have to think that you are reporting to a Client that paid you for a penetration test and wants to know every little vulnerability (From High to Low) that his infrastructure may have and how he can remediate it. Unfortunately INE does not even include a reporting guide on how to structure such a report so you have to use external resources(The Mayor has a pretty good Template so kudos to him).Another way you can follow is checking the eWPT material from INE(they include some slides and guidance there).
Some TryHackMe rooms that IMHO are a must before taking the exam: 1) Gatekeeper (BOF practice and Windows privesc) by the Mayor 2) Buffer Overflow Prep (VulnServer BOFs) by Tib3rius 3) Brainpan (A really nice BOF challenge) 3) Wreath Network (Pivoting Practice) 4) Internal by the Mayor
External Courses you can use: 1) TCM Practical Ethical Hacking Course( you do not need the Active Directory part but overall its a pretty good course) 2) TCM Linux Privilege Escalation Course 3) TCM Windows Privilege Escalation Course

2022.01.26 08:30 Stairwayunicorn Gothic cuirass goals

Need some sizing advice. I've been training with an unbranded corset I got an ebay from a seller that was smart enough to have underbust and hip measurements on their sizing chart. But now I'm at the point where I want to get an Orchard CS-426 longline. Unfortunately even Orchard only gives sizes in waist measurement
my underbust is 38 inches, and my hip is 41 inches (maybe). I want to be able (almost) to fully close the back as I intend to wear the corset under actual armor (for actual fencing and maybe larp)

2022.01.26 08:30 muchachoooo Recommendation for on demand call answering service

We have enough people to answer the phones but recently with people being out sick and/or on vacation I realize we need a backup for when we are short staffed. Does anyone recommend an on demand call answering service? Only ones I can find require a monthly subscription even if you don’t use them. I am looking for someone I can sporadically turn to for professional call answering.
